Introduction

We want you to feel safe and supported with our practice. These Terms explain how our counselling service works. By booking or attending a session, you agree to these Terms.

What we offer

  • Services are offered to clients in person, online or by phone.

  • Counselling is supportive but does not replace medical or psychiatric treatment.

Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information relevant to your care.

  • Attend scheduled appointments or give at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations.

  • Respect boundaries and maintain appropriate conduct.

  • Understand that counselling outcomes vary.

Fees and Payment

  • Fees are disclosed prior to booking.

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

  • Missed appointments without notice, a no‑show or late cancellation will incur a fee.

  • Refunds are not available once a session has been completed.

Privacy & Confidentiality

  • Information shared in sessions is confidential, except where disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm, child protection).

Intellectual Property

  • All written materials and resources remain the property of Mindknit Counselling.

  • Clients may use resources for personal use only.

Limitation of Liability

  • Counselling is a collaborative process; no guarantees are made regarding outcomes.

  • We are not liable for decisions made outside sessions.

  • Online services may be subject to technical interruptions.

Termination

  • You may discontinue counselling at any time.

  • We may suspend or terminate services if Terms are breached or counselling is no longer appropriate.

  • Referrals to other professionals may be provided.

Change of Terms

  • We may update these Terms at any time.

  • Updates will be posted on our website.
